Forbes: Sony A95K QD OLED TV First Impressions

March 3, 2022

John Archer writing for Forbes:

“A simple test screen showing large red, green and blue circles revealed that the A95K’s on-paper colour advantage is emphatically visible in the real world. All three circles - but especially the red - enjoyed clearly more vibrancy and colour volume on the A95K than they did on either of the other two screens. The X300 mastering monitor got closer, as you would expect, but the A95K still maintained an advantage.

We were invited to view all three screens from a severe viewing angle, too, and it was clear that even though OLED technology is, by its nature, more supportive of wide viewing angles than its LCD rival, the A95K again suffered less colour shift than the two other OLED-based screens.”
